Upcoming DAL Webinar to Explore Digital Academic Leadership Transformation

The ECHE–LEAD Academic Network Digital Academic Leadership (DAL) Webinar Series will continue on 24 April 2026 with a webinar entitled “Digital Academic Leadership Transformation.” The session will be delivered by Yasar Kondakci from Middle East Technical University.

Scheduled from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM (CET), the webinar will be jointly organised by the LEAD Academic Network, the EU-China Higher Education Research Center, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, and the World Education Research Association as part of the ongoing DAL Webinar Series.

The webinar will focus on the transformation of academic leadership in the context of digitalisation and changing higher education environments. Prof. Dr. Yasar Kondakci will share insights into how universities can navigate institutional change, strengthen leadership capacity, and respond to emerging social and technological challenges in higher education.

As a professor of Educational Administration and Planning at Middle East Technical University, Prof. Dr. Kondakci has extensive expertise in higher education, educational change, and social justice in education. He obtained his PhD from Ghent University in the field of Management and Organisation. His research has focused on institutional transformation, leadership development, and organisational change within higher education systems.

The webinar is expected to provide an international platform for scholars, university leaders, researchers, and practitioners to exchange perspectives on digital transformation and the future of academic leadership in higher education.
