LEAD Academic Network Strengthens International Collaboration at Wuhan Conference (Day 2)

On 26 April 2026, the LEAD Academic Network continued its engagement in the second day of the International Academic Symposium on student leadership in the digital intelligence era, held at Wuhan University of Engineering Science.



The programme further advanced discussions on academic leadership, digital transformation, and higher education innovation.



The day opened with welcoming remarks by Prof. Chu Zuwang, President of Wuhan University of Engineering Science, who highlighted the importance of cultivating future-oriented and globally competent student leaders.


As a global platform for academic leadership research and capacity building, the LEAD Academic Network contributed to the conference by facilitating dialogue among international scholars.


Members of the LEAD Academic Network from Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) participated in the programme. Prof. Nico De Witte and Prof. Bart Derre delivered presentations on inclusive leadership, entrepreneurial mindsets, and innovation in higher education.

Additional contributions from scholars including Prof. Zhu Hong, Prof. Guo Jianpeng, and Prof. Chen Zheng further enriched the discussions on leadership development and governance transformation in the digital intelligence era.


The conference concluded successfully, reinforcing the LEAD Academic Network’s role in promoting academic leadership development and international collaboration.
