You are warmly invited to join the upcoming session of the Digital Academic Leadership (DAL) Webinar Series, titled “Digital Academic Leadership: Vision and Strategies”, to be held online on Friday, 27 March 2026 (13:00–14:00 CET).
This webinar is organized by the LEAD Academic Network, EU–China Higher Education Research Center (ECHE) at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), in collaboration with the the World Education Research Association (WERA).
We are pleased to welcome Prof. Dr. Ir. Jan Cornelis (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) as the keynote speaker. As a leading expert in digital image and signal processing, Prof. Cornelis has contributed extensively to biomedical engineering and academic leadership, with over 600 publications and decades of international experience.

In this session, Prof. Cornelis will share his perspectives on the vision and strategic development of digital academic leadership in the age of artificial intelligence. The discussion will address key questions such as:
How is AI transforming learning paradigms in higher education?
What strategies should universities adopt for the effective and responsible use of AI?
What does responsible digital academic leadership mean in practice?
The session will include an interactive discussion, providing participants with the opportunity to exchange ideas and reflect on emerging challenges and opportunities in digital higher education.
