DAL Webinar Series Continues with a Focus on Digital Academic Leadership Mindsets and Readiness

Following the successful launch of the Digital Academic Leadership (DAL) Webinar Series, the second webinar of the series will further explore how universities and academic professionals are responding to digital transformation through evolving leadership awareness, mindsets, and institutional readiness.

As part of the Digital Academic Leadership (DAL) Training Programme, this session will take place on Friday, 30 January 2026, from 13:00 to 14:00 (CET) and will be delivered online.

This webinar will focus on how academic leaders and institutions develop digital awareness, adaptive mindsets, and organisational readiness in response to increasing digitalisation in higher education. Drawing on interdisciplinary research and systems thinking, the session will explore how complexity, digital transformation, and leadership practices intersect in contemporary academic environments.

Prof. Dr. Tomas Veloz is a renowned interdisciplinary researcher with a PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies and an MSc in Computer Science. His research specialises in mathematical modelling of complex adaptive systems, with applications across biological, psychological, and social systems, and places a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary thinking in addressing real-world challenges.

The DAL Webinar Series is jointly coordinated by the Digital Academic Leadership Project team within the EU–China Higher Education Research Center (ECHE) and the LEAD Academic Network, in collaboration with international academic partners. The series aims to foster global dialogue and knowledge exchange on digital academic leadership research and practice.
